Elton John found you "by a ditch in the highway of life." I'm so sorry you felt like that. I wish you knew how many of us love you, your playing & your music. I live & work in NY. I announced to my boss that I was going to FL to see you in concert. He said, "Go."....great boss! Unfortunately your concerts are 60 miles from any airport, & I don't drive. So, please, Leon, play NY.

Leon, you are a king... I was in awe when you played in Harris in Chester pa about two years ago. I knew just a little bit about you at the time, and received front row center tickets, and was.absolutely blown away... Then I started to up on some of the master pieces you wrote. I'm am only 29, but I have seen a lot of shows... Your by far changed me. I can't wait to get a chance to see you again. I seen the king and now I am saving to get a chance to see one of the only other artist that compares to you, the one and only, elton john. Thanks for having such a true passion for music, it change how I will understand music forever.

Dear Leon:
I hope you and your family are well. I had an idea for you: record Bill Wither's "Lean On Me" with the wonderful female singers who supported you on "The Union." I hope to see you in concert soon in New York. I am in awe of your talent. Best regards, Patrick Gaffney |

Leon, I saw you three times at the State Theatre in Vienna, Virginia, 2007-2009. You had the same sytle, grace, and voice that I have listened to for 40 odd years. Thank you so much for that, and I hope you come back to the State Theatre. I was shocked, saddened and embarrassed that people say you feel you have been forgotten..Listen to your fans..we love you and you have a loyal following. When I watch the concert for Bangladesh and your blending with all the other great artists, I feel so privlidged to have seen you perform live. Come back

I'm reading stuff on the web I find hard to believe.....that you stopped performing because no one remembered you? Are you serious? I thought you retired. When I'm down in the dumps, I watch Mad Dogs just to see you and Joe again. Then I'm smiling again. Just paid $90 for a Leon Russell Tee shirt & bid $100 on another. Please, Leon, play NY. You'll sell out the house. You have no idea how many fans you have.

Leon, I know I am your biggest fan! I've had a crush on you I think all my life! When I was in high school I kept an 8x10 photo of you on my mirror and my mom couldn't stand it! Ha ha. I've been to so many of your concerts. I've seen all the greats but you stand out as number 1. And thank God for ELton and thank God for you!! I listen to you every night..love Back to the Island and so many others. What I would give to see you again. Ha ha...I remember being so jealous when you married Mary!! But God bless you, Leon. You have millions of fans out here. Peace. Linda

Leon, is there any news about a possible tour with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson ? Has anyone heard anything about this????

Just woundering... Is there any reason that Leon has no tour dates after May 2012?

Elton's mistaken when he says you've been forgotten. Leon, you have a very loyal following of millions. My most memorable show I sat on stage with you and Mary, opposing pianos, at the Capitol Center Md. All the years, all the songs back to Mad Dogs and now today with the Union. A few years ago at Pozo Saloon. All the good and hard times I went through, with you, everywhere life's taken me. You've gave us all so much, you have no idea how I am still touched by your music. I'm still listening, always will. Very moved by Elton's words as I feel as he does of you and your music. Take care my friend. Looking foward to the next time I can catch up with you. ~T~

I have loved yo since 1971. In truth, I had probably loved you loner than that but I just didn't know I was listening to or seeing you. I would give just about anything to see you live. Perhaps, one day you will return to Illinois. You bring back to many memories for me. I just cannot hear enough of you. So happy that you continue to perform.

I have been a fan since I saw you on Shindig. Never got to see you in person. One of the big regrets in my life.

Leon you are such an inspiration. I ALWAYS turn you up when you are on the radio. You were my soundtrack growing up in Missouri and now that I am full grown and have my own band you are our soundtrack when we tour. PLAY PORTLAND PLEASE! Thank you for all of the gifts and for staying so freaking cool. Your crazy coolness has not waned a bit. Much love from Portland rockers The Upsidedown.

I went to see Leon Russell at Buster's in Lexington Ky and I must tell you that it was fantastic...what music, what stories he told and so intriguing still with all that long white hair and beard...Leon was great!
