Saw you perform last night (Aug. 28th) here in Loveland, CO. What a treat to see you here! - You remain my favorite artist for years now. Your artfulness and nature make you the best. - Perhaps this is stepping where you do not want anyone to, and am sorry if so, but I feel compeled to pass this on. I am not sure if you even care right now, but hope so. When I saw you last night, I was very upset at the realization that you may not be feeling well since the last time we saw you, no long ago. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night- made it to work and have had you in prayer all day long. Because you are such a phenomenal person and have given so much of yourself to us all and I am very sure, those around you, we would like you to Please try to get healthier. I know you can get well!! Eat right, let someone take care of you who really knows how. Maybe that's you, maybe it is someone else. Please get help. You deserve the best - find it!! We want you to be well. PLEASE, please...
Want you to feel healthy and happy, want you to rest and eat right. Take it easy and start working at treating yourself right. That means superb care of yourself. Want you to be comfortable and not be in pain.

Well this is a little disjointed sounding I am sure. I am really tired right now so - time to retire.

I hope you are really the one who reads this.

All the best,
Andrea Houston

PS: Missed your son on stage, last night. Really did.
-Do you ever write back?

I have been a fan of Leons since his days on the Mazeppa show out of Tulsa. I was Ricky Coburns best man at his wedding. Ricky used to play piano at my house back in the early 70's. He is sorely missed but was Leons #1 fan of all time and a great friend! Hi to all! And a special thanks to Leon for a lifetime of great music!
Peace and Smiles

Condolences on the loss of your mother.
Your music has been an important part of my life for many years. I'm proud that several "Leon" tunes are a core part of my weekly blues radio show on WZEW in Mobile. On behalf of your many fans here in the port city we are very sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Tim Hallmark

Leon:

Just saw you at Fitzgerald's. Once they got that mix under control, you were, and still are, the greatest! Saw you first in Chicago at the Auditoreum Theatre in 1971. Sang Wild Horses and Amazing Grace in a Black Sequin Tuxedo. Who else could do that, Honkey Tonk Man. And I just dream about playing piano that good.

Why don't you make an album of fully orchestrated arrangements of you alone playing piano and singing songs like Amazing Grace, Wild Horses, Over the Rainbow, etc. I would buy it in a Tulsa minute.
