Hello Leon. I am brand new to your music. I have heard outstanding things about you from others and I wanted to check it out myself. I thought it was neat to see you were a member of the "Wrecking Crew". Obviously you are a very talented man and very respected by many. I have been watching some stuff on You Tube and I am enjoying it alot. I hope you have many more years and gigs ahead of you. Someday I hope I can make it to one of your shows. God Bless.

Surfing YouTube tonight for more videos of your music and discovered that as I surfed you were 30 miles away in Atlanta in concert. So close and so far..sold out even if I had known you were coming. My life's texture and color is enhanced and enlivened because of the music you have shared with us. Gawd, wish I could find copy of your version of "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues"..it warms my soul and dampens my cheeks. Please stay well and know you are massively appreciated.

"My life's texture and color is enhanced and enlivened because of the music you have shared with us." Great words! Solid State is the album you desire for "GTCGTB" I love New Kind of Fire as well.

Leon,
My older brother introduced me to your music in 1970 - I've been a fan ever since! Seen you three times in Atlanta and once in Oklahoma. Would love to hear you play Jumpin Jack Flash/Youngblood again!

What can I say that hasn't already been said, but, Leon, your music has the power to make me "travel in time." One of my fav songs you did was "Back To The Islands," what a mindbending tune, reminds me of a lady I knew well. You're musical magic has added to my journey here on this planet, I'm grateful. May ya live for a thousand years !

Hey Leon,
Merlefest is coming up in NC and although my husband and I cannot make it to see you Thurdsay, I have 3 friends who are going. One has Parkinson's, one is on a blessed liver transplant recovery from Hep C, the third is in good health. They are really excited to be going. Our local surgeon plays the banjo and attends. Wishing all the folks good weather, and good fun. I know the music will be incredible. We all love you Leon and us ole weekend warriors thank you ever so for your music. Peace and love to the people of Boston and all around the world. Play your beautiful music for my dear friends and have a great festival. Hopefully you will swing back through NC on your busy schedule sometime soon.

I first listened to you at age of 13 in 1973 when a friend had your 8 tracks. I've been a huge fan since. I saw you once in 79 in Alex,La. That was my second time to see Willie, Ya'll were touring together. Willie was on an ego trip for years walking out and starting his show before previous artist was through.Rumors were friends quickly became exfriends due to that,( although business people can't publicly let on to such) and when he did that to you tht night, I lost interest in Willie. Happy birthday last week was your bday. Take care of your health Leon and go heavy on the fruits & veggies. A gospel song a day. LOL

Hey Leon
Thank you so much for sitting down with Denny and getting your story told. I had written to you in the past asking you to do this because you had a story to tell. Thanks again

I too had encouraged Sir Leon to write an autobiography. What is it that has been done? Who is Denny and is this "story" available anywhere yet?

I love Leon Russell - since the early 70's. He is one of the best piano players ever - as good or better than Floyd Cramer.......love him........love him. Also, the album with Elton John is the best of all!

You are probably my favorite music maker. I can live without TV, without movies, but I would be devastated if I had to live without music. Thank you for giving your extraordinary talent to the world!!! I'm so glad that I can go to You Tube and see your performances over and over. It always brings me to a happy place!!!

Came back to ask if you could please, please sing One More Love Song at Merlefest. It would mean a lot to me and to my daughter! We both love you!
She's a college music professor who plays your music in her classes!
I taught her right!
Thanks Leon!

I grew up in Tulsa (Coweta) and my best friend Terry Taylor and I would drive by your house almost every day-basically stalking you :-) My first date with my husband was your concert in St Louis in 1975. My daddy always swore we were related but he would say "no, his name was Bridges so I guess that's not him!" I had the maddest crush on you-my first real love. I have cancer now which is terminal but to go to my "happy place" I just listen to you.Happy belated birthday to you and may God bless you and keep you.

My cancer in incurable too. I had to have a blood test and no blood would come out. I said,"let me think about Leon for a minute." Pretty soon, 4 vials were full. Hang in there, sister.
