I grew up in Tulsa (Coweta) and my best friend Terry Taylor and I would drive by your house almost every day-basically stalking you :-) My first date with my husband was your concert in St Louis in 1975. My daddy always swore we were related but he would say "no, his name was Bridges so I guess that's not him!" I had the maddest crush on you-my first real love. I have cancer now which is terminal but to go to my "happy place" I just listen to you.Happy belated birthday to you and may God bless you and keep you.

Melbourne in the 70's. Delighted that I can now download your music through iTunes. I have little chance of attending your concerts in the US unfortunately .

I love your music& have for along time. Till I found you on Youtube I did not know that you played so many instuments. Guitar, borns, plus putting together the whole "Mad Dog & Englishmans'" Tour. Love that too. I thought just a piano and voice man.

I have so many memories of you. Beer joints & concerts in Texas in the 70's and beyond. The one that stays with me and I talk about stills: Willie Nelson's 4th July picnic, one of the early ones, you know, 3 days in the HOT MUD cuz it rained. It was around '74,'75. I was a bout 17. So into this music, with a bunch of great friends. I already loved Leon, But I must say, was awakened sometime very early Sunday morning to Leon & Mary singing gospel. Love you, love Mary, love Gospel but geez...woke my little butt up drunk and hungover at the same time! What fun.
