Just heard "Lady Blue" - my all time favorite. It's a great song and brings back a lot of memories from my high school days.

Hi Leon - I was listening to some of your music today. I haven't been listening to my "old" music since I've become a Christian (2 yrs). But yesterday I was thinking about some of
my old music & dug out some CD's and I
think some of those songs may just have
a spiritual meaning.....I guess it's all
in the way you interpret them.....Like
Prince of Peace, Roll Away the Stone,
and of course, Delta Lady. My old favorite is Stranger in a Strange Land.
I've got many of your albums tucked away.
But no turntable !!! Love Holly

Holly,
Don't give up Leon on account of your new found faith.
Many of Leon's songs are very spiritual. If you can dig up a copy of "Jesus Will Take Me Home" I guarantee you will never think of Leon as a strictly secular artist again, because that song will make you feel close to The Lord like never before.

Leon,
Just wanted you to know that you've also been my lifelong favorite since '73. I was only 18 then and couldn't get to Memphis to see you. About seven years ago I finally saw you at Memphis in May. You brought tears to my eyes. You've always been so close but yet so far. I think you have always been the best looking man on earth. I listened to "Out of the Darkness" from Bangladesh today and I cried again when I heard your voice. Sound like a love sick teenager, but I have always loved you and your music. Just know that you've made a great contribution to music and played an important role in my life. Hope I get to see you again soon.
Love always,
Debbie

I have very good childhood memories of Leon Russell.... My father was a huge fan and he still is ... Has every record still from when I was a child. He has since remarried and his new wife walked down the aisle to Song for Your my absolute favorite, cuz he would sing it to me as a little girl.... Thanks for good childhood memories............

Mr. Bridges....
Do you remember Chancie Jones?....Tulsa, 69-72...how about Jimmy Markham's perm at the big house?....Did you write a song about Chancie? That was my grandfather...I have followed your music since the 70's...you are still wonderful.

Happy New Year Leon! My husband Tom first saw you at the Depot in Minneapolis MN w/Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour in the 70's; we love your music and take your tapes and CD's with us wherever we travel; saw you in Hayward WI a couple of years ago - one of the best experiences ever!! Are you going to be appearing anywhere in the midwest in 2003? Would love to have your tour schedule so we can make plans to travel to see you if not anywhere in this area. Thank you!

Happy new Year,Leon. Have been one of your loyalist fans since 1970.Have managed to get nearly everything ever recorded, and used to run the Leon Russell Appreciation society here in england with help from Diane Sullivan back in the Paradise Records days. Thanks for giving me so much pleasure over the years! Keep on rocking!
